Even a Not For Profit organisation needs money to keep it running. It costs more than $500 a month just to keep the doors open. This covers exclusive use of our rooms, electricity and insurance. Thank you for helping us work towards our vision by donating to help with the operational costs.

One-off or Regular donations

One-off donations are a valuable part of what helps Room at the Table to keep running, we couldn’t do it without you.

If you’d like to step it up a notch, please consider committing to donating regularly. Regular donations help us to manage our cash flow by knowing what income we can rely on each month. Most banks will allow you to set up a regular “Pay Anyone” EFT transaction. Please let us know to expect this by sending an email to benalla@roomatthetable.org.au.

Earmarked donations

Donations will be assigned to the general operational expenses of Room at the Table unless otherwise requested. You can request to assign your donation to a specific project by including a comment with the donation, or sending the details in an email to benalla@roomatthetable.org.au.

I’ll let you in on a little secret, though. Room at the Table generally funds its project costs via grants, which almost always must be assigned to a specific project. The general ongoing operating expenses are the lifeblood of an organisation, and these are more difficult to find external funding for. Therefore, while we certainly won’t turn down donations for specific projects, it is even more valuable to RATT if donations are able to be applied to where they are most needed, which is usually our ongoing operational costs.

Receipts

All donations will receive an electronic receipt. Please keep in mind that Room at the Table Inc is not a registered Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR), therefore donations are not tax deductible.
